Vancouver is Awesome

My friend Jen and I have been in Vancouver since Friday at the Environmental Mutagen Conference. In addition to all the learning, presenting, and networking, we have managed to enjoy this wonderful city.

The highlight was our bike ride around Stanley Park. We rode along the sea wall from the harbor to the Pacific Inlet to the heart of the City. In addition to the amazing scenery, along the way we saw a number of amazing things:
1) black squirrels (descendents of 9 gift squirrels from Britian to Vancouver in 1909).
2) a hippie festival (complete with men with furry blue pants and feathers, oh and ganga).
3) 2 "women in white" (bridal parties)
4) A prescription drug commercial (We think Viagra)
5) Weird, unnatural rock formation (homage to totem poles?)
6) A number of Spirt Bears
7) A raccoon in daylight (rabid?)
